Jill Dauchy

Jill has been active in the international capital markets since 1996, having begun her career on SBC Warburg’s (later UBS) Emerging Market Capital Markets desk in New York City. She later transferred to their London office and joined the Sovereign Advisory division. Jill has continued to advise sovereign governments, central banks, and private-sector companies for over ten years.

Jill’s primary focus has been external debt restructurings and debt management strategies, including advising sovereign governments on their strategies for issuing Eurobonds on the international markets. She has also provided financial advice to state-owned enterprises on debt management issues and investor relations.

Most recently Jill has advised the Government of Iceland on its strategy for accessing the international capital markets, as part of the Government’s medium-term debt strategy and negotiations with the IMF. Previously Jill also advised the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Congo on the successful restructuring of its external commercial debt, and the Democratic Republic of Congo on a World Bank funded buyback of its London Club debt. She has also advised the Serbian authorities on its negotiations with the Paris Club, which resulted in a debt reduction unprecedented at that time for a middle-income country, and the Government of Pakistan on its restructuring agreements with the Paris Club. As part of these negotiations, Jill advised the Government of Pakistan on its sovereign bond exchange. In addition to the above, Jill has worked with the governments of Indonesia, Ecuador and with several private sector and state-owned corporations.

Jill holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and an MA in International Affairs from the Lauder Institute. She earned her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University. Jill is fluent in French and Russian.
